weather in beg. of July
 
What is the weather like in July on the Island.I know it is going to be hot but is it worth going at this time

Which island might that be? You probably selected a "subject" island when you posted, but all questions get posted in the generic Caribbean forum.

I don't know which island you're referring to, but in general, I find that the Caribbean in the summertime is more pleasant than most of the US in the summertime--and certainly more pleasant than Mississippi, where I'm from. The breeze is pretty much constant, and though it's hot--high 80s to low 90s--it feels cooler down there than it does in many part of the south, southeast, northeast, midwest, and southwest.

Ditto on the what island question.
Jamaica tends to be hot...hot...and then gets even hotter. Great beach weather.

It sometimes gets rainy towards the end of July, early August.
