was to stay at brac cayman but blown away in storm
I am travelling cancun & cuba for a month
we were to go to brac cayman at the end to R&R & scuba our accomadation at brac is blown over suggestions for beach & diving please with son age 23 & dad ?? Belise, dive sites in cuba?, cozumel?,other islands accessable from cuba or a live aboard dive boat? |
Why not stay on Grand Cayman. I am pretty sure that entire island is not blown away. There are many resorts there to choose from and many good dive companies to take you out.

I agree with the Grand Cayman suggestion. Your flight to Cayman Brac goes through Grand Cayman anyway. Check out the Reef Resort on the east end, it has a great dive shop on site, and it wasn't impacted by the last hurricane.

hi john, i agree with girl and luv that grand cayman could be a good choice. the reef is nice. or morritt's is a devoted dive resort -there are several others. it is however not laid back like the brac or little cayman.
you might look at isla mujeres just off the coast of cancun. you go by ferry in about 15 mins. this is a tiny, extremely laid back island with great snorkeling and diving. you get around on golf carts. lots of little restaurant/bars. the avalon reef club has a good location and has ai option. i am so envious of your trip to cuba. i'd love to read a trip report when you return. |
My Boyfriend and I spent 10 days this June in Grand Cayman we went there to dive and dive we did. We did boat dives with Sunset House (sting ray city) and Ocean Frontiers. We also completed several shore dives, Sunset House, Devils Grotto and A place right past the Turtle Farm. The diving was great and the people friendly.
