Wantsomesun re: Harbour Island

Pink Sands on Harbour Island is closed till Oct. 22 due to Frances. Boo hoo!
Now my husband and I have to figure where we're going in 3 weeks!
Continental says they won't charge us a change fee for changing our destination, wherever we end up going.

Did you think about the Rock House also on Harbour Island and also upscale.

Coral Sands had very little damage and is probably open, and I think Romora Bay would also be open.

Try the www.briland.com site and ask what's open.

Our favorite Runaway Hill is closed until November and it is for sale, so don't know if it will open on time or not right now.

Try the www.romorabay.com for info.

Hope this helps.

I really appreciate your suggestions.
I think we'll try another island though. Still not sure which.
We were thinking Jamaica but don't think that will happen. Ivan is looking pretty scary.

Is Runaway for sale again? We met the buyer during our trip there in July and they were finalizing the deal. Did it fall through? or its just not final? Just curious. Hate to see the place change -- its wonderful!

That's a really good question. Carol said they had a buyer but that all the details had yet to be worked out. So they did not know if they would be there next season or not. I haven't had the heart to call and ask yet, and still hope to get down there before the end of the year.

Hopefully the next hurricane will miss Florida and the Bahamas they have had enough hurricanes already.

I agree, Runaway is such a great place, I love the honor bar, and taking my "smash" down to the pool. Paul and I usually head to the pool late at night and lay in the water and watch the start, heavenly!!

If I hear anything, I will let you know.
