Want to snorkel from hotel beach
 

My fiance and I are thinking of going to Jamaica for our honeymoon in April, and have researched and found great snorkeling reviews for Rhodes Beach Resort in Negril, and if we decide to stay in Montego Bay for a couple nights also have found good snorkeling reviews on Royal Decameron and even the Holiday Inn! Anyone ever stay at these (smaller) hotels? BTW, I have been to Cancun/Riviera Maya 4 times (spring, summer and fall) and have gotten glimpses of the fabulous reef there, but the majority of the time the wind has been so strong you can't even go in the water. The best visit was in October, which happens to be hurricane season.

Unfortunately, Jamaica is not known for it's snorkeling. If that is a top priority, there are better choices.

It's just a tiny thing but I'll post it. I *strongly* prefer Negril over Montego Bay. I've been to Negril 3 times (many years apart) and love it! I've only passed thru MoBay because of the airport, but it's not a place I'd really want to spend time.
