Hotel staff lied
I recently booked a last minute vacation at a large hotel. I booked it through an internet travel discount firm. When I arrived at the hotel I asked for an upgrade immediately even though I didn't pay for it, I thought I could take my chances. The staff lied and said no upgrades were available. I asked to speak to a manager. The staff lied and said the manager wasn't available.
We were on an All Inclusive package but didn't like that all the meals were buffet style. We asked for a substitution on the menu. The serving staff lied and said the item wasn't available.
Now, I lie all the time, in my job, at home to strangers, friends and family but people shouldn't lie to me.

<<I often read reviews by people who pay as little as possible for a hotel room through various online brokers. What gets me is that they complain they are given a sub-par room. Well do you think? You take your chances with this brokers and I don't think you really have a right to complain about getting the lowest category room when you have paid for it.>>
OOkay...
