The Fat Virgin Cafe is a nice hut over llooking the water and good for hamburgers and such. It is very close to Biras Creek. With the slow bookings you really do not need dinner reservations but at Biras and Little Dix same day reservations with a request for a table view of the water makes it a more enjoyable evening. But, $120 for 2 persons is about the going rate but if NOT a bargeque at least at Biras it really is worth it unless they have a new Head Chef.

Just back today! Must do's....must snorkel swim at Savannah Bay....oh man...what a beach. The best on the island hands down!

Also, for some good "down home" lunches stop in at LSL Bakery for lunch. One day the had ribs that melt in your mouth and the best potato salad I ever ate!!(did I spell that right or did I Dan Quayle that one? hehehe)

Leverick Bay restaurant was very good. We stayed over that way so we ate many meals there. Never got over to Biras or BYEC. We'll save that for our next trip.

Peace, Greenie

Greenie! How was the water? Was there still evidence of the algae plume or has it moved on? Thanks for the food tips!
Who's excited?

I didnt see any algea, but then again, I'm not an expert. The snorkeling was good and the water clear. We swam close to a turtle on our last day at savannah bay. It was cool.

I'm planning my trip back already.

Peace, Greenie

Greenie,

When I close my eyes and think of the perfect Caribbean beach, I see Savannah Bay.

I'm jealous. Have been to the BVI twice - once to Tortola and once to Virgin Gorda and loved it. We stayed at Bitter End and had the use of a Boston Whaler to putz around in. Was lots of fun. Have a great time.

Bill -- Have a great trip -- I'll be thinking about you & Martin enjoying that wonderful deck. Feed the cat if it shows up. Fortunately VG doesn't have many homeless animals -- but, of course one of the few found his way to our back door. We're animal nuts so we immediately went out and bought cat food. At first it wouldn't come anywhere near us but eagerly ate the food. By the end of our stay he allowed us to get close and the morning we were leaving I found him sleeping by the kitchen slider waiting for his breakfast. It broke my heart - he thought he found a home. I left money in the guest book and requested that the next guests buy food. Odd -- but I still think about that cat.

Adagio is a wonderful house in an ideal location. Enjoy every minute of it!

Safe travels.

Carol

Thanks Carol and GoT. I love kitties, so if it, or any other shows up, it will become the best fed kitty on the island for the ten days we're there.

Have a great trip! I hope you and Martin have a fantastic time on VG. Lucky dog, 10 days.

And I hope you get a visit from the kitty!
