A couple weeks ago I rented a villa called Sunnyledge which is just above Francis Bay on the north shore --- only a 4 minute drive down or a 10 minute walk to a lovely beach. You can get info on it at francisbeach.com.

My husband and I use "Private homes for private vacations" (http://www.privatehomesvi.com)
They have beautiful homes with excellent views. The closest to the north shore is Mamey Peak homes. It is about a mile drive to the beaches but has beautiful views- you would definately need a rental jeep! They meet you in town, hook you up with everything you need and are VERY nice people.

Try http://vacationvistas.com/
We stayed at Argonauta, near Cruz Bay, but they do have a North Shore property that looks amazing!

Just curious, is there any reason that you need to stay on the north shore? St. John is a very small island. Villas in Cruz Bay and Coral Bay have excellent views and are just a short drive from the north shore beaches. I will agree that the villa selection process can be overwhelming at times.
