Looking for suggestions on villas to rent on tci. Willing to spend around $500 a night. Looking for a villa with a pool overlooking the water and Its only for 2 people. We would like to be somewhat close to restaurants and beach bars. We were looking to go in either March or April.

March and April are peak season, $500 a night is not going to cut it.

You can get that for a villa with pool blocks back from the beach, definitely not overlooking the water. these come close (rocky beach, need a car, closer to $700 nightly, surcharge for A/C)

Majority of villas that are beachfront are mansions, usually 4-6 bedrooms, and going for $2000 - $3000 nightly in your price range during peak season

It's an expensive island! At resorts during that time period, it will get you 1 bedroom at a mid range price, nothing luxury.

Now you can get some gorgeous villas for less blocks from the beach, usually closer to $400 range.

Thank you blamona, I don't need beach front, but a view would be great. The villas you suggested look great. Which one is closest to restaurants and beach bars. Also if I waited for May would it be worth while? Would the weather be too hot?

Hot is relative! Beach destinations are suppose to be hot, but you've got water

Flat as a pancake island, so unless breakfront, none have views. If the did, there 2 stories and in slow season still twice your budget. Beachfront still way over budget

There are many trade offs. Majority of villas are scattered throughout and most require cars. Although flat straight roads, many dark sections to get to beach bars and restaurants.

The above are gorgeous villas, all close to each other. Their beachfront is rocky, so sooner or later you need to drive to Grace Bay beach to check it out, or you'll miss out the best beach in the world. There's a handful of restaurants close by, no beach bars.

Most beach bars are upscale and chic, and usually attached to resorts. The hub is mostly resorts, the few villas command much more than your budget.

All true beach bars require car, Da Conch Shack! Bugaloos. A couple at resorts still require car if staying at a villa.

Ther are gorgeous villas, no views, but nice and upscale, need cars, around $250-$360 nightly that give you privacy, etc, but many will have extra bedrooms.

TCI is an expensive destination. Wait until you see the prices of food! (but the restaurants all haveamzing settings)

So if truly interested in all your wants, wrong island. Or give up wants (ocean view villa, or stay at a resort, or get a car, etc)

I love The West Bay Club, but it won't fit the OP's budget these days, unless he/she finds a deal or goes off-season. They have been acquired by Grace Bay Club, and raised the prices dramatically since last year.

The above are the only thing that comes close. What vacationers don't realize (and what they want out of villas) is that TCI is flat as a pancake. Other islands are hilly enough that even 2-3 blocks from the beach will have some views of ocean.

This is not that kind of island. Being so flat, only beachfront mansions have views. Maybe a block back if 2 stories (which makes them 5 bedroom villas at much higher prices than $500 nightly)

At 3 villas back (only 2 minute walk to beaches) and you loose the view completely.

So this is just to put prospective on the island for expectations. Even 1 villa back from the beach usually goes $1000 plus nightly.

The 3 above are the only ones that come close. They are also not on Grace Bsy by the way. The beach there is rocky, great for snorkel. To enjoy the gorgeousness that is GB you have to go by car. GB is clean, rocky free, amazing.

The rocky beach is "connected" to GB, meaning you can walk, but it will takes hours to the end to see all the changes. The views from villas mentioned above are very pretty (color of water there is unreal)

But on a flat island, there will be trade offs

the one brs here are within your budget. not sure if they have any available for march/april but they do for may. location is good. there is some snorkeling. you will need a car.

Looking to see who might know anything about these properties.Crystal Sands villa,White Osprey,Sapphire Sunsets beach villa,Villa Jayla,Villa De clementina,and Morning Glory. Any feedback would be great.

All except White Osprey are above your budget. If any budget goes, there are tons of villas.

Crystal Sands faces Sapadilla Bay. LOVE the owners, fantastic. Great villa. But so you know, pool is in back, not facing water. And it's 2 floors, meaning you get one, someone else will probably rent the other. Extremely popular and rents fast. I would stay there in a heartbeat.

White Osprey is at Babalu Beach. It actually has views and is a nice villa. Trade offs, you need a car for everything. EVERYTHING. Can't even walk to Grace Bay (which is the Provo prize) Very residential, prickly path the the beach. Safe island overall, but you still need to lock up living area at night (better than being sorry)

While the others have views, they are removed from beaches. So trade off is, want views instead of being at the beach? The views are stunning! But Chalk Sound and Silly creek where 2 of them are aren't swimmable (bottom like mud) far removed from hub. So trading views for not being close to a beach the closest beach is Sapadilla and Taylor Bays. (no bathroom facilities there by the way)

Morning Glory faces the banks. Again gorgeous view (but strange pool?, more like plunge pool) No beach. Rough road leading to it, While not required I would get SUV, road is rough back and forth. Not close to any beach. Villa nice, views spectacular.

SO you have us confused! Do you want your budget? Do you want view over anything (even if far from beach and hubs) ? Do you want to stay where everyone stays the first time?

For me, all villas are nice. I've been to island many times. So it wouldn't be an effort to stay away from Grace Bay, I'm familiar. But for first time, you're really trading view for convenience (and paying more than you told us)
