Where to celebrate 40 married years!
Looking to celebrate with another couple. We are active and do adventure travel but other couple is more limited. Looking for sun, swimming , food and relaxation. Would enjoy some excursions. Travel in February . Price range would be about $4000 per couple if it were all inclusive.

You may find that it is too late to book something great Wor February, 2014.. President's Week in Feb will be sold out @ most desirable resorts. If you are talking earlier in Feb, that is only about 6 weeks away.
That said, we like Aruba and go back year after year. But I wld not do AI in Aruba as there are lots of good restaurants. But if you do want to do AI in Aruba, I think Rui has an AI option.
Anyway.....Happy Anniversary! And, have a great time whatever you decide to do.

Hi,
I'm a travel agent and I agree about Feb. being tight with air but it depends on when you go, where you're coming from and where you plan to go/stay, for how long, all inclusive or not, the comfort level in which you're inclined to stay, if you'll need a car, etc. Can you tell us where you'll be flying from and we can help better. Ever considered a Club Med, they are really meant for people over 40 and have a very loyal return customers. There is one on Columbus Isle (flight is from FLL charter on Sat.), one on Turks and Caicos but this isn't a fancy property, one in the Dominican Republic too. I'm sure you know of Sandals too. They are all over the Caribbean so if you can't get into one, you might be able to go to another. Finally, for awesome water, not a long flight, good food and incredible beaches is Grand Cayman. I'd be happy to help you further if you want. Otherwise, just know you might bump into air issues during Feb and congrats!

Don't do AI in Aruba, not worth it with so many reasonably priced restaurants, chains. And for what it's worth, while we were there a few weeks ago, we befriended some guests at RIU who thought the food choices at RIU were terrible.
