Villa La Koubba in Turks & Caicos

Has anybody stayed at Villa La Koubba on Sapodila Bay beach in T&C? We're thinking of renting and not sure how nice it is. Please share your experience at this villa if you stayed here. Thanks.

La Koubba is gorgeous.

I am currently staying at Mirabelle, which is located on the same beach as La Koubba. I think that the location of Mirabelle is preferred over La Koubba. Mirabelle is located right on the beach. You can walk directly from the house to the ocean. La Koubba gets access to the beach by walking through a side gate. Also we walked in the water near La Koubba and it is very rocky when you walk in the water there, where Villa Mirabelle is very sandy. Also, the decoration at Mirabelle is wonderful and very tasteful. The house was built two years ago and everything is top notch. They have a security system and an exceptional sound system that can play your ipod inside and outside of the villa. There is also a nice wooden deck walk to the beach and a gazabo on the beach. From what we observed, Mirabelle has the nicest landscaping and amenities along this stretch of beach. We are having a great time.

jonniew,
We stayed at Crystal Sands villa on Sapodilla (next door to La Koubba) in August and loved it! Here's my trip report with lots of photos (including photos of La Koubba and the villas along Sapodilla-we had looked into renting Mirabelle as well but it was booked the week we wanted -however we were very pleased with Crystal Sands-the owners are wonderful and the house was beautiful).

If you go, please give big hugs to the adorable and loving dog Amber, or "Cutie pie" as my kids affectionately named her for the week. She would visit us each day and was such a love. The pack of dogs issue has been resolved as far as we could tell. The only one not on a leash we encountered was Amber who's owners live nearby. She had a collar and was the sweetest dog ever. We wanted to bring her home!

Sapodilla was our favorite beach on Provo. We really enjoyed walking along the beach with the stingrays swimming by us each morning and watching the sea turtles peeking their heads above the water right out front

I am staying in Sapodilla Bay for a few months and the very gracious owner of La Koubba gave me a tour of his house while he was here two weeks ago.

It is absolutely gorgeous. Each room has a view of the water and each bedroom has a very nice private balcony or patio area.

It is right on the water and a few easy steps to the beach.

The house is beautifully appointed and there are a lot of incredible architectural details from the original Spanish tile to the thick walls that are Moorish in style.

I felt that I was in that scene when Bogart says "Play it again Sam" in that Moroccan style setting.

It's an incredible house and I would give my eye teeth to stay there if I could.

And about the stray dogs, no worries about that. You won't be bothered by them on the beach.
