Verizon-Anguilla

I have Verizon Cell Phone service. I have heard it works in Anguilla. Does anyone know or should I be bringing my Mobile Phone?

I think it depends where you are on the island for decent reception. My wife just got back from Anguilla, and Verizon worked quite well.

just be aware that using Verizon or any other US based cell service in the islands is VERY expensive.

We used our phones with verizon service in anguilla a few weeks back. haven't received the bill yet :-(, but we did get service most places.

I went to Anguilla last April and took my verizon phone. It did not work at all.I was told i could rent one from Cable and wireless very reasonably.

I noticed on the Verizon web site that Anguilla is now listed under international roaming at a rate of $2.49 per minute. I called the international services number and was told the Verizon phones should work there. Mine has never worked in the past, but I'll try it again and call them to trouble shoot if it doesn't work. I agree, though, that a Cable & Wireless prepaid phone is less expensive in the long run.

The roaming fee is high, but my verizon phone works better in Anguilla than in my backyard.
