Vacation to Paradise Island on 8/21/08
Has anyone been in Paradise Island this summer? I am heading down there with my boyfriend on Thursday and am getting worried about the weather. I'm wondering if anyone has just recently been there or lives near there and could give me information on the weather. It would be greatly appriciated!

It's been very rainy on and off for awhile, but seems to have gotten back to normal. It DOES rain nearly every day for a few minutes.. then back to sunshine. Most people don't even leave the beach..
It's extremely humid right now.. so bring plenty of cotton T's and tanks.. I change 3 times a day at least.
There are storms at sea that may come by later in the week.. or they may pass us by completely. No telling. It's a bit too early.

The tropical storm Fay is right over the Bahamas as I write this post. The winds have not been too bad, but the rain is really coming down. I got an email from a friend in Nassau that there has been no damage, other than some trees and landscaping.
Before you leave, check with your hotel to make sure they have rooms available.

Please check with your hotel and your airline tomorrow before heading to the aiport, as I think Nassau Airport is probably closed right now due to Tropical Storm Fay.
The storm seems to be stalled and is throwing rain bands back into the Bahamas.
