Vacation rental in Grand Cayman for young family

We are planning a family vacation with 6 adults, 1 toddler and 2 infants in Grand Cayman. Looking for three bedroom condo or villa on the beach with a pool. We would like to be walking distance to some restaurants and a grocery store. Any suggestions about location or accommodations?
Thanks!
Linda

Budget? Start your search here and focus on central Seven Mile Beach.

We're staying at Villas of the Galleon next week - on SMB between the Westin & Ritz, walking distance to grocery/liquor stores. We won the trip in a raffle sponsored by the Cayman Islands Tourism Board, so I can report back more on the property once we're there. http://www.villasofthegalleon.com/

I recommend Villas of the Galleon. I have stayed there twice. Check out VRBO (Vacation Rentals by Owner) for a much better deal that through the complex itself. VOG consistes of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom condos all within steps to the beach and most with outsanding views. It sits on the best stretch of 7 Mile beach and the beach in front is very uncrowded. You will die when you see how they have them crammed in like sardines next door at the Ritz. It's a great property with beautiful landscaping. Only thing is it does not have a pool. BUT you have a giant pool known as the caribbean right outside your door. We never missed it. If you need a pool, look into Plantana. I have lots of photos if you are interested.

Yes, check out www.vrbo.com and also www.homeaway.com for some very good deals. We have used both services with great success.

Many years ago when my kids were little, we stayed at Villas of the Galleon nearly every winter. It was reasonably priced, had beautiful accomodations, was on the best part of the beach, and almost across the street from a giant American-style supermarket, where we could find whatever we needed for the kids. I wasn't sure whether to recommend it, since I haven't stayed there in awhile, but I see from the above, that it's still a good place for families.
