vacation insurance?

hello,

we have a honeymoon coming up in july, don't really have a place yet. we're thinking the caribbean - but want to know if we need to look into places that have hurricane (weather) insurance? we're bouncing between villas and resorts.
thanks - james

James: If you decide on the Caribbean, You don't need to worry about insurance due to hurricanes in July. Hurricane season in the Caribbean is in the fall months. Good luck in your search and congrats on your upcoming marriage.

Sorry to disagree, but hurricane season is from 1 June to 30 November....

Sue is correct and altho July is out of the highest part of the season, September and October, insurance may be something that you might want to consider. It covers all kinds of possibilities aside from hurricanes including trip interruption, lost luggage, etc. Read the policies carefully and compare. Some resorts state that they provide it but the parimeters that they state (the eye of the hurricane must fall within several miles of the resort) are very narrow so be careful and I have seen reports of people having difficulty collecting.

Just choose an island south of the hurricane belt...Aruba would be perfect.
