US & BVI

We have 14 days and are heading for St John.1st 2 weeks in Oct. Probably will try for Westin via Priceline. Love to do day sails and explore. Considering a short stay on Tortola. It was recommended.Maybe most of the time on St John. 2--3 days on TOrtola??
LOve to hear feedback. Can we see enough on a day trip to Virgin Gorda?

Sounds like a great trip. I would recommend 2 nights on Tortola and 2 ngihts on Virgin Gorda. Virgin Gorda is my favorite. St John will be a great trip, but don't only spend 1 day in Virgin Gorda. We always go and spend about a week in Virgin Gorda and a week in Tortola, or a few days in St John too.

Thanks Kelly,
I had originally planned on St John/ V.G.But since someone recommended Tortola as a BVI base my husband is leaning towards that.He was looking for a little more culture & diversity. We were also told we could see alot just by ferry-ing around.Where are your favorite places to stay? The North ? shore on Tortola was recommended,by Smugglers Cove I think. If we go to V.G i was thinking of staying by the BAths at Guavaberry.
Thanks for your imput!

Stay with St. John if you want great beaches and snorkling from them. A short stay on Tortola is fine.

Yes stay at Guavaberry. We have been there 3 years in a row. There is a private part of the Baths on their property. It is wonderful. If you stay in Tortola, Sugar Mill Hotel is great, or on Cane Garden Bay the Cane Garden Bay Cottages are nice too. Cane Garden Bay is kind of the happening place on Tortola.
