Union Island and Groceries

Which is the best grocery store on Union? Looking for quality frozen meats, canned goods, wines, cheeses. I know they're not like we're used to at home but I need a good place for the basics. I think I can get fresh produce from the street vendors if I recall correctly.

Does it have to be Union ? In the Grenadines, the best quality frozen meats, tinned and boxed goods, wines and cheeses is to be found on Bequia at Doris's in Port Elizabeth. She also has an amazing selection. The street vendors also have a good variety of fruits and vegetables. For basics, Knight's on the Back Street is best.

I haven't been too impressed with the options in Union, although if you must provision in the Southern Grenadines, it is the best place.

Yes, it has to be Union because I'm staying at a private home on Palm. Just wanted to get some basics to get by on but wanted to know which place was best.

Well then I would recommend Captain Gourmet. There were good choices of frozen meats, fish, French cheeses and wines. also cigars, fishing gear and jewellery!

Also check out Jennys and Little Price.

And, for most produce, the street vendors, as you already know.

Enjoy your stay on Palm Island !

Thanks. Been there many times but not lately and can't wait! Now all I have to do is lug it all back to Palm. Too bad I can't carry it on my head!!
