One of my favorite islands!

Don't miss Smuggler's Cove.

Rent a car and explore.

Spend some time in Virgin Gorda and try to get to The Baths when it's not inundated with cruise ship people.

Drinks at the Jolly Roger, lunch at Pusser's, drinks and music in Cane Garden Bay, daysails . . . . yeah, I'm jealous.

Thanks to all for replying! As for the weather, I will be keeping an eye on it on the internet, there are lots of weather sites to access. And as far as not missing Smuggler's Cove, that is where we will be tying the knot!
Congradulations Jennifer on your wedding at Biras Creek. We look forward to a great time and I'll be posting a trip report as soon as I can Thanks again,
LilN & Mike

LilNanettie -- you arrive just as we leave! Good luck, have fun, and congratulations.

Jen -- what day is your wedding? My fiance and I (who will be married by then) will be at Biras that week as well!

To Delegator-We're there 12/1-12/8. Actual ceremony is on the 5th. Feel free to stop by!

What kind of activities have you planned?

Try to spend a couple days on islands other than Tortola. Rent or charter a boat and head over to the Bight in Norman Island for some snorkeling by the caves or a few drinks on the William Thornton. Head over White Bay on Jost Van Dyke, which is one of the prettiest beaches in the Caribbean. The Baths are a little "touristy" but you should see them anyway. If there's a full moon, don't miss the Full Moon Party at Bomba's on Tortola --it's pretty wild. Most important -- Get a copy of the Limin' Times when you get to Tortola (I think that it might be available on-line at BVIWelcome.com). It tells you where there is live music/a party every night. The nightlife is funny in the BVI's -- a bar that is really hopping one night when there is a live band can be dead (or closed) the next night. Have a great time. You will love the BVI's. I have never met anyone who didn't.

P.S. Don't just hang out by the pool at your hotel. Make sure you get out and see the island and meet the local people. You won't be sorry that you did. Also, don't hesitate to ask the locals where you should go at night. Unlike a lot of islands, the locals won't direct you to places where only tourists go. They will send you to the same places that they are planning on going that night.

You'll love Tortola. We were there in August and had a wonderfully romantic time. My best advice is to rent a really good Jeep so you can get around the island. The roads are really steep and if you're not used to it, it can be a bit scary at first. We were pros by the end of our trip. A good Jeep is essential though - we had a really old one and we really didn't think it would make it up some of the hills at times. Other jeeps would be passing us by in their dust!

At Carrot Bay, there is a restaurant that I can't remember the name of, but you'll definitely see it. It is pretty famous for it's ginger wine chicken (WONDERFUL!) and is in a little hut-type building on the beachside. Try to get there - the best dinner we had on the island.

Smugglers Cove is our favorite beach so you'll have a perfect wedding. Good luck!
