Need advice: My sister and I (both mid-20s and single) are planning a week-long tropical vacation. Want a location with lots of singles our age, not too many kids, some sight-seeing/hiking/other things besides just lounging. Want to go fishing, windsurfing, and maybe snorkelling. Don't want to break the bank. Suggestions?

I recommend that you take a close look at Cancun. There are some incredible deals out there to Cancun ... and the deals get much better from Sept to Dec 15th. For example, Austin Vacations is offering a 7-day vacation at the Westin Regina including air for only $375!!! (This deal is only good for Sept).

Young singles are everywhere in Cancun. You can take a day excursion to Cozumel and experience some of the best snorkeling in the world. Also, there are several other sightseeing trips (such as Tulum) which are very nice.

I think you would also like Cancun. This Club Med seems to attract a lot of singles and they all come back raving about what a grat time they had!

I recommend Aruba. Beautiful beaches, lots to explore and decent nightlife. You can get some great deals in summer and fall and weather should be great!

Cancun is a good suggestion, but I would also recommend Playa del Carmen, about 45 min. south of Cancun.
Filled with gorgeous 20-somethings from all over the world and very nice places to stay for less than $100 per night.
Lots of nightlife from funky beach bars with live music all the way up to South Beach style nightclubs.

I agree with the others who recommended Cancun. It's a very popular destination for singles and there are wonderful hotels with great prices, even all-inclusive. Also, depending on where you fly from, you can get a package with reduced airfare or take a charter. Where are you flying from?
