Turtle Farm and Hell

What the best mode to visit Turtle Farm and Town Call hell starting point is downtown. I'm thinking about an hour at the Farm and 10 to 15 minutes at Hell.

Are you coming on a cruise ship?

We visited both when we were in Grand Cayman and wished we hadn't wasted our time. The turtle farm has quite an odor to it. Hell is just a little rinky dink place that was truly a disappointment.

Do you mind in terms of public transportation? We had a rental car. I don't think we were at the Turtle Farm more than 45 minutes with our 4-year-old. The place is not that big. Our son enjoyed the turtles very much. We did too. I don't think I've ever been to a place with animals that didn't smell. Hell is really no more than a 2-minute stop to take a quick picture.

Uh..I meant do you MEAN in terms of public transportation? :-)

Yes, we are coming by cruise ship and have no interest in going to Stingray City. We love Crocodile Hunter and for the time being will try to stay away from swimming with those fish. The cruise tours that go to Hell and the farm including Stingray City.
We have to kids and wanted them the see the turtles. I agree that anyplace where there are animals will stink to so degree.
Though we would do those two things and then either go to Margaritaville or back to the ship.
Yeah, public transportation. We are in port from 8 to 4.

If I was on a cruise and had only a short time on the island, I may not hit the Turtle Farm and Hell. But if you have time, I think they are fun things to do.

one problem
the turtle farm and hell are on the grand cayman and margartaville is in key west. sounds like you may be on the same cruise as we were last week. if so i would not take the ship tour. there were private guides at the dock looking for customers. we did the ship's turtle farm, hell and string ray city tour. string ray city was by far the best part of the tour.

pennstateray1 - there is now a Margaritaville in Cayman - downtown G'town.

Probably a good thing - I hear it's wall to wall people. NOT the way I want to experience Cayman.
