Turks Vs. Bermuda

Ok, I'm a Bermuda lover, but in the future was thinking of going to Turks and Caicos..How do the two compare? We are into nice beaches, snorkeling from the beach, and gourmet food....We have also been to aruba, and Jamaica..Loved Royal Plantation at Jamaica, but did not like Jamaica in general..Is Turks safe? Is it more upscale?

I haven't been to Bermuda for 15 years, so my comparison is a little dated:
Bermuda: one of the most upscale islands in Caribbean area. Great golf courses, nice shopping, gorgeous architecture. Cool cove type beaches, snorkeling just okay. "old world charm".
T&C: best beaches you'll ever see, great restaurants, terrific snorkeling, even off the beach. decent 1 golf course. Not much shopping. beaches are long strecthes for miles of the most gorgeous turqouises. No real caribbean vibe, more "Americanized". Turks very upscale, very safe.
For beaches: T&C wins
for snorkeling: T&C wins
for architecture: Bermuda wins
for shopping: Bermuda wins
for golf courses: Bermuda wins
for water excursions with gorgeous cays: T&C wins
for upscale: Bermuda wins, but T&C is catching up and even passing it
For food: T&C wins
Of course, these are only my opinions. 8-)

Thanks! Thats what I thought..Going to Bermuda again this year, but looking for another island like what you described..I really love Point Grace, but not sure if we can afford it...Was thinking of the palms too, but maybe to congested
