Turks in July?
Greetings,
We had to cancel a trip to T&C booked for this past April (argh!) and are now considering rescheduling for this July. My husband is a little hesitant. How "bad" will the weather be in July? Is it extremely hot? If you add humidity into the mix, will it be unbearable for a good part of the day? We have two small children and so need to consider this factor. Any feedback greatly appreciated. |
We went in July and the weather was fine. A short shower would come through daily (which was very welcomed) and the sun came back out. It was 80's and some humidity. It wasn't unbearable at all. The nice point about traveling in July is that it didn't seem crowded on the beaches.
As long as you have a beach umbrella for the you and the children you should be fine. However, "hot" is relative so I would keep that in mind. I'm from the southwest region so it wasn't too hot for us. Have a great trip. |
Ha ha, totally understand. My husband is from Southern California so humidity is something he's not used too (although we're in NY now so he's getting the idea :)
I sooo want to go on this trip. Thanks! |
We went to T&C the end of June and it was hot, but not unbearable. The pro is that it isn't crowded at all. We walked right into any restaurant we wanted. Call first though because if it's slow, they will close early. Have fun.

Ok, we're sitting here on Long Island (NYC suburb) - is it going to be like it is right now this weekend? It's friggin hot!

well if maine is any indication of how hot and sticky it is this weekend long island must be just awful.
this link will show you 'average' weather information for provo from july 10 -july 24 http://www.wunderground.com/history/...=Turks+Islands they suggest dew point will be around 75. this is a bit high but you'll be on the beach all day and there is usually a bit of a breeze. this is my favorite island so i say go for it. the water will be warm enough for the kids to play in it all day. do make sure you have access to an umbrella or palapa. and get a case of water and chill some every night. island ppl advise increasing your salt intake a bit too, to help retain water. your kids will enjoy eating dinner one night at tiki hut at turtle cove marina. <you'll like it too. yummy drinks. |
