Turks and Caicos, where to stay
I have stayed at the Sands which I thought was a great value but may want something new.
We are staying at the Villa Renaissance for a few nights and then I am considering Seven Stars, Villa Neptune or Sands. Is Villa Neptune going to be too isolated? We are quiet, non-partying folks. Thanks. PS we will be there Dec.6-13, weather predictions? |
If you like to walk the Grace Bay Beach you will miss that at Neptune. We would be bored there--there are only private homes near Neptune & the only restaurant is right there at the Villas. On Grace Bay as you know -- you have many restaurants and the walking I mention above. I would stay at the Sands, 7 Stars is nice but huge & not my fav .
Weather ? should be fine, hurricane season will be over & the resorts will be getting ready for "busy season" |
Thanks, that was very helpful!

Why not just stay at VR? It's gorgeous and centrally located.
My opinion, Sands is a step down Villa Neptune is a step down Seven Stars is a step up, but is walking distance from VR (a couple of blocks) so why move? |
Because there is no availability at the VR for my other nights that is in my price range. The suite I am booked into only has the first 4 nights available.
I like changing hotels anyway, I pack light. |
Is it likely to be very busy at these places from 12/6-`12/13?
The only things we did not like about the Sands were noisy people on their balconies and some difficulty obtaining chairs. I thought the grounds were very tropical and lovely, the beach itself wide and not crowded apart from chair, loungers a bit crappy. WE did like Hemingways. |
Sounds like you made your choice, Seven Stars

No, went with the Sands. Just too good of a price to say no to!
Sort of averaged out the cost of the VR! |
Good, Sands is great!
