Turks and Caicos vs. BVI - help?

My wife and I plan to take a vacation in February and want good beaches, good snorkeling and good food. Night life not necessary. Right now we're focused on either Turks and Caicos (thinking of the Caribbean Paradise Inn) or BVI (thinking of Sugar Mill). Any comments would be appreciated.

We just got back from T & C, would highly recommend (take some side trips!), would try Grace Bay Club (or maybe it's called Ocean Bay Club), it looked great. We stayed at Beaches which I would highly recommend if you have kids. We talked to some people who also liked Le Deck. Also there are some great houses and condos you can rent down there 1000/wk, which I thought could be good.

Grace Bay and Ocean Club are two different properties. Le Deck isn't that great. Adequate would be a good word. <BR>There is probably more to do in the BVI. T&C is a quiet, do nothing place. There isn't even much to see on Provo attraction-wise.

It would be helpful if you determined which island in either of these two groups of islands your prelim. investigations attracted you. Then we could discuss. Both groups tranquil, but BVI's arguably have much more to do (Tortola).

I think the ocean temperature will be much colder in the Turks and Caicos in February. Tortola has more beauty and things of interest around. The Sugar Mill is across the road from a modest beach with minimal if any snorkeling. I have not been in the water there to be certain. I don't know where the Paradise Inn is since the Turks and Caicos involves many islands. We have only been at Salt Cay off of Grand Turk in that area. All islands there tend to be flat with sandy shorelines.
