Ikemerson: I TRULY ENJOYED your trip report. Thank you so much for sharing. The water there looks so AMAZING. We're going to Provo at the end of September. I will definitely re-read your trip report right before we leave. We're going for an anniversary celebration and leaving our 4-year-old with my sister-in-law and her family. Because of that, we're only going for a long weekend. Even though we know she truly wouldn't mind watching him longer, we don't want to abuse her generosity, but after reading your trip report, I'm thinking "let's abuse it, darn it, and stay an entire week!!!" LOL.
I love how you added the restaurant prices. That is SO HELPFUL. I recently saw someone who did it and decided then to do it as well (did it for a recent Vegas trip).
Glad you had a great trip and thanks again for all the info.

Blamona: Saw your pics too. WOW re: that water!

KVR...
We were bummed our excursions were cancelled as well. We booked the one and were assured it would go out unless weather did not permit it to do so. The night before, it was cancelled...weather was fine, so what is the deal with that? I told hubby, maybe she said 'whether' instead of 'weather'...and meant it would go out 'whether' permitting. You know, 'whether' they got enough people or not!!! arggg. Aggravating to say the least!

On a trip, we are all about getting out and meeting people, and enjoying the topography and the scenery. We love snorkeling [tried diving, and it was not for us at that time...we may try again]. Watch if you signed up for a snorkel safari, those were the trips that were cancelled, both times!

We have to have a car for trips [well, I shouldn't say have to have, it is more a love to have type of thing], as we like to go on 'explores' as my boys used to call them when they were little and we drug them with us. Getting into the nooks and crannies of where we are. I am hyper and can't sit in one spot too long, so I will just blame it on that, and go merrily on my way.

Caribtraveler:
I'd go for the more days. If someone who loves your child is willing to stay with them, you may as well tack on a few more days and enjoy yourself! Seriously, it takes me at least 4 days to wind down enough to relax. I arrive and I am in go go go, do do do mode. I feel I have to do it all immediately [again...hyper].

For good food at a midrange price, the places we ate at, and I would suggest are Danny Buoys, Hemmingways on the Beach [lunch], Shark Bites, and Aqua. You can't beat the hydroponic salad at Aqua. I swear. It was sooooo good. You can get it with chicken, fish...whatever. Very good price. Salt Mills Cafe was also good. As I recall, a turkey sandwich was $7, wash it down with a $6 smoothie [they do phenomenal smoothies] and you have had yourself a very filling, good lunch [consider the smoothie dessert too ] for not a horendous amount of money.

Of all the places we went that cost a bit more, I'd suggest Coco Bistro if you could just go out to a more expensive meal one time. Either there or Baci. My husband and I will be back at both of these places.

HAVE FUN!!! I am so glad you are considering tacking on more days. Good plan!

I'm just glad if any of you all have gotten some enjoyment or insight via the report.

Hey SANDY...thanks for the call, you worry too much. Your suggestion to go here, well - we owe you!

Sue,
Just sent you an e-mail. I had lost yours when I got a new computer. I copied yours from Karens e-mail so I hope I got it right. You can just copy mine from the one I sent. Didn't mean to leave you out of the loop, us northsiders have to stick together!! LOL
