Turks and Caicos or St. Thomas in October?

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip for my 30th and I can't decide where to go. I think I'm set on somewhere in the caribbean...but would like some pointers as to where exactly. I have been looking into either st. Thomas or Turks and Caicos. Thank you!

It might help if you give us some information on what you are looking for. Starting with budget...then the "must haves". If you don't tell us what exactly you are looking for, it's nearly impossible to make a decent suggestion. October is still hurricane season, so for starters make sure you get trip insurance.

Since you originally tagged Cayman Islands, I would recommend you go to Grand Cayman There are beautiful hotels such as the Ritz Carlton and the Kimpton. The rates are low in the off season . Excellent diving and snorkeling.Much safer than St. Thomas and T&C.
