Turks and Caicos or Jamaica

My husband and I are in the process of planning a 6 day 5 night trip in February. We are looking into either Jamaica (the ritz) or Turks and Caicos. We have never been to T&C but honeymooned in Jamaica 11 years ago. We are looking for a nice beach and good food!!!!

We went to Turks a year ago and absolutely loved it. It was so relaxing, and romantic. Not crowded at all. There is no nightlife, so if you are looking for any action, it's not the place for you. But there are plenty of great restaurants. I can't wait to go back!

We're going to Jamaica in May for a wedding, otherwise I'd be at Turks again. Jamaica seems a lot more wild and definitely not remote. I guess it depends on whether you want lots of activity or not.

As long as you just seeking relaxation, and not a busy nightlife T&C will be fine. A different experience. A gorgeous beach. I am not sure why you have only chosen those 2 destinations for your choices. St. Johns has one of the most beautiful beaches of all. if you want some nightlife, Aruba would be good also. Jamaica you have all ready been to so it would be nice to try a different island.

My husband and I went to Turks & Caicos in 1999 and stayed at the Club Med there. But for the first night we stayed at the Coral Gardens which was beautiful. Grace Bay Beach is gorgeous and there are good hotels on it. Ocean Club for one. The water knocks you out and we've been to a lot of places in the caribbean but nothing compares to T&C. We found good restaurants in town and yes it is very quiet there. Snorkeling is fantastic and is best right in front of the Coral Gardens, you can go right from the beach.
