Turks and Caicos or Bonaire

Hi all, I am trying to schedule a much needed vacation in mid to late February and I've read that two of the better snorkeling destinations in the caribbean are turks and caicos and Bonaire? Do you agree with that? Also does anyone know of nice hotels that won't break the bank in those two locales?

I am thinking of going for four or five days and would like a nice hotel, nice places to eat, and great snorkeling. If any other destinations come to mind please feel free to let me know. I am traveling from south florida so I don't want more than a 3 hour flight though

Thanks in advance!

Yes they are both great places for snorkelling but are totally different islands. T&C is very expensive for accommodation and food, you'll need transportation to get to snorkelling sites on both islands. Weather is probably warmer in Bonaire in Feb being further south. Bonaire does not have any beaches to speak of, T&C has glorious Grace Bay. Grace Bay area has alot of places to stay and eat.

Thanks for the info Odin. In bonaire are the reefs accessible to snorkelers or mostly divers?

Thanks again
