Turks and Caicos Oct 2013!!

We have booked our trip for the end of Oct.at Beaches. We have 3 kids under 12 going. It has everything we want except zip lining. Is there an option to island hop or a day to do that? If so, where and how? Thanks!!!

There's no zip lining anywhere in the Turks & Caicos.

For zip line or just explore?

Beaches has a catamaran that strolls through the uninhabited Cays, they are truly spectacular. Even better is the same trip on Island Vibes or Caicos Dream Tours. They stop to snorkel, dive for conch (you get a gorgeous shell to bring home) sometimes sand dollars, and stop at stunning Half Moon Bay.

If adventurous, you can take a ferry over to North Caicos, rent a car, and drive over to Middle Caicos, again amazing. Middle Caicos has Mudjin Harbour (there's a restaurant there to have lunch overlooking the gorgeous beach) some caves to explore. It has cliffs and a small hiking trail that ends with stairs cut down into a cave for a small private beach. If uncomfortable doing on your own, there are a couple of tours that do it but it's costly.

Beaches has an excursion desk too that offers all kinds of things.

You can also do a day trip to either Grand Turk or Salt Cay. Both are sleepy, colorful and quiet. They are costly, requires a short flight over and back but have a Caribbean sleepy laid back feel to them. It's a slow adventure, like stepping back in time, not like active, zip lining tons of things two do type activities.

Keep in mind that October much of the outer islands and even restaurants on Provo pretty much shut down for the season, so plan it well!

Beaches has tons of things to do that will keep you busy too.
