Turks and Caicos

Any feedback on the Royal West Indies resort on Grace Bay Road? Rates appear reasonable at $242 for a studio? Also, I would be interested in renting a car to see and move around the island's beaches and resturants. Is renting a car good idea? I realize I have asked two diferent questions. Thanks for the help...

RWI is a good bang for the buck. Pretty property.

I'm a car girl. For only $39 daily the freedom it gives is great-you can explore Sapadilla and Taylor Bays, Chalk Sound, Da Conch Shack, Pelican Beach for huge conch shells, snorkeling at Coral Gardens and eat and go to supermarket without playing the the waiting game, the someone can call for me game, the have cash for tips, and then find out taxi costs more!

renting a car in Provo is a terrific idea because:

$39 a day unlimited rides.

explore places taxi can't take you--do not miss Sapadilla Bay, Taylor Bay, Chalk Sound (where you'll never see turquoise like that ever again), Pelican Beach, snorkel Coral Gardens and Smith's Reef

not depending on someone who may or may not call a taxi for you

not playing the waiting game, especially in the dark (it can get dark there!)

not carrying cash around, figuring change, tips

cheaper than going to places like Da Conch Shack

easier to transport groceries in the heat of day

for the cost of a taxi airport to hotel you have unlimited rides all day on rental

on the last day you leave the car at airport, so no waiting for taxi to show to add additional stress

1 taxi ride can put you out $45, so it's more cost effective to have a car!
