Turks and Caicos
 

My husband and I are looking to go to Turks and Caicos and need assistance as to where to stay. We are in our early 50s and have been going to Mexico for the last 16 years, staying at all inclusives. The beach and snorkeling are important to us. We don't need a place that has night life and don't want to stay at a place with a lot of kids. Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Turks & Caicos, Grace Bay is our choice. www.oceanclubresorts.com Ocean Club West is our place. After 20+ islands, we will be back for the 4th year in March,2011.

Grace Bay is the beach you have dreamed of. The snorkeling is limited. Snorkeling used to be our major thing, until we found Grace Bay. The sand, the water, the views, are everything you have dreamed of. Condo style accommodations are great, and the restaurants are top-of-the-line fantastic along with some casual, less expensive places.

You can't compare to Mexico in price (been there, done that), but you also can't compare quality.

We've been going to Mexico AI for years also when we tried T & C. We stayed at the Sibonne. A small 26 room hotel right on Grace Bay. We enjoyed it. There weren't any AI's there when we went except Beaches and Club Med, not really an option. If you are interested in AI look at the Veranda. The Alexandria was our second choice, but the Somerset is a good option. Avoid The Sands if your not interested in kids. We weren't either, which is why we went with the Sibonne. It is very small and non-family oriented.

Check out Royal West Indies Resort. Reasonably priced, lush landscaping, great restaurant on-ste and seems adult oriented.
