Thanks to all, for the help in planning our trip to T&C last month. We stayed at The Sands and for the most part were happy with the choice, although I would have liked a softer bed!
The first room that they took us to was in the 3000 building which is were I wanted to be, but it had such a strong mildew odor, that there was no way I was staying there. We were changed to the 1000 building and very happy. The help was great and very friendly.
We rented a car and were very glad we did, our weather was good but the ocean was rough so we couldn't snorkle or SNUBA, which was a bummer, so we explored the island and had a good time. If we go back it will not be in Sept.
The best places to eat that we found were Hemmingway's and Mango Reef. Tryed the Tili Hut, I liked the ribs and chicken but hubby didn't even eat his chicken fingers, service not so good either. Not very good at the SaltMills Dinner either, went for breakfast.
We went to Long Bay Beach and picked up some chonk shells, and saw the amazing waters of Chalk Sound. The beaches were beautiful and the softest sand I have ever dug my toes into!

Happy you had a good time, despite the bad weather (choppy water). Once you see Grace Bay in all of it's calmness it will be in your blood and stay with you forever.

I have to agree with you about the soft, white beaches. I can't wait to return. blamona is right, it gets in your blood. We've had 1 stormy, big waves trip and 2 gorgeous, calm, turquoise water trips. I wonder what our 2011 trip will bring.

Tpayt - when were your three trips and which one was stormy? I am seeing a reasonalbe fare on Delta to T&C out of O'Hare and am trying to determine best month to go.
