Trip Insurance
 

We will be getting married next April in St. John and since there will be a lot of money spent on accomdations (villa) ect...we were wondering if we should purchase trip insurance. Does anyone know if trip insurance covers the cost of the villa etc. Can anyone recommend a reputable company to purchase trip insurance with? We've only purchased insurance when we've booked flights before.

I would recommend a co. called Travel Insured International(1-800-243-3174). We were stranded in Paris due to 9/11 for about 4 extra days. The co. called us upon our return to reimburse us for expenses. I did not even think they would cover this-they sent a check promptly. Pretty good in my book. I have since used them for a vacation in St. John (rented a house) and they do cover the rental. Have fun!

Our biggest expense is the villa rental and that is what we are most concerned with.

I happened to be reading Costco's latest magazine (Costco Connection) and they recommended a few ins. co. One was the name I already gave you. They also wrote about a website: www.insuremytrip.com which can compare several co. options. That might be helpful. Good Luck.

we have used Travelguard for all of our trips. Should be a wevsite. As a matter of fact, I am in the proccess of trying to find it so that I can get insurance for our upcoming trip. Good Luck. Definately worth it.

Due to a death in the family we had to cancel a criuse. TravelGuard covered everything we expected and a few other things as well. I was very satisfied with their service.

Well worth the $$$.
