Travel between St.Lucia and Barbados
I am going to Barbados for Cricket World Cup Super 8 matches that finish on April 21st. I have to be in St. Lucia for the Semi Finals on April 25th and return to Barbados in time for the Finals on April 28th. Liat and Caribbean Star Airlines have now merged and have been sold out for any of these days for months. Are there any other forms of transport between these 2 Islands? Please help.

I'm not surprised that they're sold out.
Well, I suppose you could always charter a plane, but that will be *extremely* expensive. Perhaps you could find other people in the same predicament who could share cost with you. Otherwise you could fly on American Airlines from Barbados back to Miami and then Miami to St. Lucia, but I suppose those flights might be sold out, too. To check availability on the dates you need, go to www.itasoftware.com, which will show more options than a site like Travelocity or Expedia. From the itasoftware page, click on "demo" (or something like that) and then continue as a guest without registering. Good luck! |
Ditto EJ's reply.

okay, according to the ITA software you could buy a ticket on American Airlines and connect in SJU for as little as US $577 plus taxes. not a great deal to be sure, but less expensive than chartering a plane.
at this late date you might not have any better or less expensive options. sorry! |
Thank you ejcrowe and vinceygirl for your suggestions. These flights have been booked from October of last year. Do you by any chance know whether there is any ferry service that connects St.Lucia with either Dominica or St. Vincent?
|
Sorry no ferry service between St. Lucia and St. Vincent nor am I aware of any between Dominica and St. Lucia
|
I added something on your other post, but I found several flights on the 28th open on LIAT from St. Lucia to Barbados, but I'm not sure any will get you there in time for the match.

Thank you, but no joy. I would rather forgo the Semi Finals tickets and skip the trip to St. Lucia rather than miss out on the Finals!
