travel agent specializing in Carribean

Does anyone know of reputable travel agents with a speciality in Carribean resorts(not cruises)? Any suggestions appreciated. I live in the Philly area.

Liberty Travel has helped me out many times. GoGo
tours, AAA (Travel Impressions). On the web American Airlines or American Express.

I hope this helps. Good Luck

I have also used Liberty Travel several times for travel in the Caribbean. I also live outside of Phila. I have used the Liberty Travel in the King of Prussia Mall.

A word of caution re travel agents. Most of them are tuned in to the larger resorts who advertise a lot and give them discount trips to look at the properties. If you are interested in smaller or boutique hotels, try to do your own homework on which island(s) you might like and the hotels. Then see if a travel agent can get you the best prices. Example: lots of people get sent to Aruba to cookie cutter US-type hotels. Yet you read more negative comments about Aruba, both the island for lack of tropical beauty, and the hotels.

We went to Aruba without a travel agent planning our trip. I chose it for the fact that it is generally a safe island, with clean drinking water, good food and white sand beaches. We were not disappointed. There are some very nice hotels there that are american owned. I like that. Marriott, Hyatt and Radisson are all very nice.
It depends on what you want out of a vacation. Read about some of the islands that are talked about here. If you know what you want when you go to the travel agent, you should not be disappointed. If you go not knowing anything, you might be sent to an island that has big packages for the travel agent to sell.
If you told us more about what you want in a vacation, we may be able to give you some ideas on different islands.

My travel agent specializes inCaribbean travel in the Pittsburgh area. He is great and has always found something within my price range. In 14 yrs I have no complaints. If interested reply thru the forum and will post.

Try checking the messageboard at www.tropictravelonline.com. They have different boards for various resorts & the site is run by a travel agent plus many other agents post there. People post about large & small resorts & the advice was good when we planned our Jamaica trip.
