tortola trip worth it?

is it worth taking a day trip from st. thomas to tortola to relax on one of it's beaches and maybe have lunch?

I think so! The sail alone is reason enough in my opinion. How many days will you be there?

Have fun :)

Go to St John -- much easier from St Thomas...no passport, immigration reqd. Great beaches. However, after that Tortola is great fun too!

I would rather take a ferry to Virgin Gorda for the day. Much nicer beaches and there is the Baths (but head to Spring or Devil's Bay (same scenery, less people) or even a day sail to Jost.

I agree with beachplum. If you want to visit the BVI then Virgin Gorda (spring bay or savannah bay) would be a better alternative or even Jost (white bay) for a great beach experience.
