Debra why are you such a jerk. People are giving you advise, which you asked for. You should take the $1000.00 you are willing to spend a night (which I think is BS) and take some classes on how to get along with others, and not act like a sonb.
I'm sure a travel agent can find you a nice place where you would be able to enjoy your $1000.00 per night fairy tale.

It sounds like jealousness to me. Haven't you read the WAll STREET JOURNAL"s weekend section quite a few months ago-it had a cute article about what $500.00 a night gets you in the good ole USA. If I recall it even included a Murphy bed in Memphis and all of the rooms were very diasppointing. It did not mention the caribbean. Debra is not a jerk and this thread continued sharing information. Who are you to critize. The world has all kinds of people and places so let us enjoy. There are many excellent villas and hotels on Anguilla and many price ranges. Maybe she should have selected the new Altamer at $2500 and up per night. She was inquiring about 2 hotels, about the same price range. The only out of sink real advice came from a happy traveler from a great trip to ST.Lucia. Now we have MS. Sour Grapes. It takes all kinds. Debra and ALL spend your money how you like.It is easy to spend $1000/day. Have a fabulous trip.

Have a great time!! We did drive around CoveCastles and did check out the menu and were tempted to try dinner ... but next time! Can hardly wait to hear the review when you return! It struck me as too too "modern" all white and stark sticking up out of the sand ... don't know ... just didn't look like it was "warm and inviting" but ... that is just a perception! Kinda like CuisinArt being dropped on Anguilla rather than the Green Isles!! Cap, all nestled in the sandy cove all by itself just "fit" ... go figure! LOL

Hopefully, this will help you make up your mind: topless sunbathing is illegal on public beaches in Anguilla (and all the beaches are public, including those at the resorts). If you stay at Cap Juluca, they purposely give you your own terrace or patio and beach chairs so that you can topless sunbathe in private. I don't know whether CoveCastles provides the same private sunbathing space. Regarding eating, Trattoria Tramonto was closed three weeks ago. We had a great experience at Blanchards and didn't really view the food as exclusively Pacific Rim, although I definitely could see the influence. There were no bug coils (and no bugs) the night we were there. I looked at pictures of the rooms at CoveCastles and it looks like more than we would have really needed or wanted. We got the mid-priced room at Cap Juluca. We had a king-size bed, a large sitting area inside, and a very large sitting area outside too. Have a great time, wherever you're going!
