Tobago question

We are travelling to Barbados in November and have an opportunity to visit Tobago for a couple of nights. The accommodation that has been suggested is the Toucan Inn which gets good reviews on tripadvisor but another site mentioned it is on a very busy road. If anyone knows the inn and what its location is like in proximity to the beach and the road I would appreciate your comments. Many thanks!

Steve Wooler did a review at his My Tobago site from a January 2005 visit.

Hi, Starfish,
The Toucan Inn is on a somewhat busy road. It's in Crown Point, which is quite a built-up area by Tobago standards.
You have the advantage of being close to all sorts of restaurants.

I personally did not enjoy Tobago but enjoyed Barbados on multiple visits over the past 10 years. The Blue Haven Hotel(I think was the name) was satisfactory but area food was not that good. I would stay in Barbados.

Thanks folks for all your replies. RobertoB, the Steve Wooler review was a great help. Appreciate it!

We stayed at coco reef in may & had a thoroughly good holiday, even though the beach is a bit small. We never had a problem with sunbeds & the food was excellent. Tobago is a beautiful island & although i have only spent a few hours looking round Barbados, Tobago has far more to offer in the way of scenery & hospitality!
