Tivo alert: Feasting on Waves, Food Network show in the Caribbean

I loved Alton's "Feasting on Asphalt" that followed his crew on a motorcycle tour of cuisine off the beaten path...in the USA.

I Just watched, "feasting on waves", no they don't eat waves, He starts in St. Kitt's and then sails to St.Barts. Next episode they go to St. Martin.

It's about the local food, drinks, etc;

Food Network. Not sure when it's on, I set my tivo to find it. Go to www.foodnetwork.com under TV and see when it runs.

Enjoy!

Very cool concept..too bad Alton Brown is so annoying..I saw St. Kitt. It was a great trip showing the local side. A little too much Alton banter.

Yes, watched it last week and really enjoyed it. I like to learn about the different foods the islands have to offer so this is a nice combo for me -- a little of the island and what foods it has to offer. I was sorry to see that they had to abandon going to St. Eustacius ( where our fodorita Statia lives) due to weather.

I would like a little less of the silly side of Alton. He really is a knowledgeable person but I can't take much of the annoying goofiness. That's why I quit watching Good Eats.

That is funny, I stopped watching "good eats" due to too many men dressed as Swiss miss gals and such silliness. I liked his teaching, just not the constant goofy presentation.

If you go back and watch "feasting on asphalt", he relaxes and doesn't have a script and NO costumes of cows or English Kings. Much more enjoyable to watch. On Iron Chef, he's not goofy.

I just try and look at the island and enjoy the food/scenery!
