Were you harassed by locals/vendors on the beach there?

How crowded does the beach get?

Do the AC units do a good job of cooling and how loud are they?

No - you won't get harassed by local vendors.
The beach doesn't get very crowded.
Can't answer you question about A/C units.

Venders won't harass you if you politely say no.

The beach gets busy when cruise ships are in town, but there's lots of room near Inon's beach bar.

I've read some units have a loud AC unit. (ie: honeymoon suite)

Well I guess I should have said 'approached' bc I don't want to even be approached by them. I dont want them anywhere near me period. So I decided to head to a wealthier island that has a bit less poverty where I can relax in peace. After Barbados last year and Jamaica a few years back, I just don't want to risk it and I'm not up for being pan handled. But I definitely want to see St. Kitts. Maybe next year when I'm up for more of an 'adventure'.

I've gone to St. Kitts for years. Rarely am I approached by vendors, and when I am, I answer them politely saying "no thank you."

I have never met with a persistent vendor. The people of St. Kitts are very reserved, proper, and polite. I don't think you would have a stressful time deatling with them.

Just treat them as you would like to be treated if you were in the same position.

And you just might be surprised. You may have an interesting conversation.

All I can say is how rude! St. Kitts is beautiful and "them" happen to live there. You would like to go enjoy their island but don't want to have to be near them. Your loss! I agree with cs. If you just had an open mind you might meet some really interesting people.

.........although there is one "music" vendor who became a bother who came to me everyday even though I had politely said no each time.
This went one for at least 3 days.
Even the bartenders at the row of beachbars shoo'd him away as he was persistant enough to make customers leave their bars.
When enough is enough, politness wanes.
This is NOT typical though.
