Three Dives or Rockhouse for best lobster?

Ok, we have only 2 days in Negril before the lobster season ends, I would like to have one great lobster dinner.... Rockhouse or Three Dives? I understand one is very casual and one is a bit more upscale.... I'm talking the best tasting lobster..............

In my opinion, 3 Dives. Grilled with garlic butter on the side, curry or "fried" (by which I believe they mean sauteed with some vegiies). I have only had the grilled but it's great, and enough for 2 people (2-3 lobster tails and includes rice and beans and calalloo).

We get a 1/4 jerk chicken and share the two meals, usually.

www.maherconsulting.com/3dives has a menu.

Rockhouse is lovely too, very different setting and prices (tho 3 Dives' lobster is $23 it is their most expensive item by far). RH has small tables with candles, tablecloths, etc...different experience.

3 Dives -- but I'd also check to see
what Norma's is doing for lobster
during your stay as she has an entirely different take on Jamaican lobster.

I need to chck Norma's one day, I've heard so much about her. Does she actually cook at Seasplash or does she move between restaurants a lot?

Had an amazing lobster dish at Normas as well. We stayed at Rockhouse and don't remember the lobster dish there, maybe it wasn't on the menu that week? Being from the Boston area and spending a lot of time on the coast I have eaten my fair share of lobster and Normas was one of my favorite takes on this tasty crustacean. It is a must.

3-dives lobster is better....be sure to get a size of chicken and FF as well

We ate at both at Christmas. The 10 of agreed that Three Dives was superior. We couldn't believe the amount of lobster we were served for the price. Very casual setting , but we really enjoyed it. Have fun. Owa

I really enjoyed the fish preparations and great cocktails at Rockhouse, but for lobster I'd definitely go to 3 dives.

BTW -- I'm so envious that you get to make this decision at all!!
