Thoughts and prayers for those in the path of Katarina
I just wanted to let those of you experiencing the terror of the approaching storm , know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hopefully, those of you directly affected, will have found safe refuge and will read this later. But for those who might have friends and family in the targeted areas, prayers are with them too. Marion |
Ditto that Marion. I can't believe how awful this hurricane has become!! The New Orleans situation sounds like the unthinkable.
|
My thoughts and prayers are also with the people of New Orleans.Hopefully everyone has found somewhere safe to stay.
I also hope it will not be anything like when Fran hit NC in 96. |
I have been reading on the US board about how people are doing.
There is a new thread under the subject of "Damn Katrina", from someone who is worried about her October trip to New Orleans. I'm just venting here, because I was absolutely enraged by the selfishness of such a post. Marion |
I agree completely Marion..I cannot believe that someone is worried about their trip when the news is saying that thousands could be left homeless. So this will definitely be worse than Fran was.I really hope that the storm weakens and makes a turn..quick!:(

Listen , guys , I was out of the loop for a couple of days ..... Where did it hit in the Caribbean ? I will obviously do some searches ?

to all in the path of katrina. good luck. good faith. know the prayers of the nation are with you all!
faithie, katrina was only a tropical storm as it approached the fla coast. i do not think there was much if any damage to the islands and there is nothing about same on caribwx. |
Katrina was just a minimal tropical depression/storm while in the Caribbean, and didn't cause any problems. However, she became a category one hurricane before hitting the greater Miami area, moving down thru the Florida Keys, then moving out into the Gulf and strengenthing.
Miami is still suffering the effects with flooding, power outages, etc., so I can't imagine what the Gulf Coast is facing in the next couple of weeks, if not longer. My thoughts and prayers are also with everyone in the path of this monster storm. I pray that there is not major loss of life as they are predicting is a possibility. |
My humanitarian prayer: God, please spare New Orleans and her people from devastating destruction. Send Katrina back into nothingness from whence she came.
My selfish prayer: God, please spare New Orleans and her people from devastating destruction. Send Katrina back into nothingness from whence she came. |
