This is for the Florida goers....who love Anguilla
Ok we are the Anguilla lovers looking for a trip. If you love Anguilla but could only go to FL for your vacation-which hotels/areas would you go to (privacy, seclusion, pretty beaches, no mass tourism etc.) any suggestions?

Have you considered Nevis? It actually reminds me a little bit of Anguilla. Same low-key vibe, very beautiful beaches. Not big on mass tourism, although The Four Seasons resort is quite crowded during the holiday months.

My favorite place (it has been several years since I visited though)is Siesta Key (near Sarasota) for the long, white sand beach. But, it does not meet your requirements for privacy and seclusion. Also, the hotel choices are pretty limited.

My favorite beach, one I just returned from, is Nokomis Beach on Casey Key. Siesta is nice, as well, but very touristy. There are fantastic beaches all along the Gulf Keys. Comparable to many in the Caribbean. Pass-A-Grille is a great beach....Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island is top notch as well. I like Sunset Beach on Treasure Island...another favorite.
