My fiance and I are thinking about going to Anguilla for our honeymoon in March or April of 2000. We are looking for a nice, quiet island which has access to an another island with some nightlife by way of a water-shuttle. Is Anguilla a good choice?

Perfect choice!!! You have the romance and serenity of what a honeymoon is all about on Anguilla. You are only a short ferry boat ride to the casinos of St. Martin. My prediction: one night on St. Martin will suffice!!! After that you will become an Anguillaphile and opt for the true paradise.All of us who were in the same boat are now replaying our honeymoons every year in Anguilla.

Question: You recommend going to SXM for the casinos andnite life because of the short ferry ride. It was my understanding that this ferry does not run at night because the Anguillan's prefer having their visitors stay on the island for dinner. Whether that is the reason or not, is it true that the ferry service stops early in the evening so that this couple may not be able to "nitelife" it on SXM?

Why would anyone want to leave Anquilla...especially for St. Martin..and especially when on your honeymoon. Look at St.Martin from Rendezvous Bay...but don't touch.
