Yes, there is a tarpon feeding--not sure of the time, but I'm sure someone on this BB will fill us in. I didn't think it was any big thrill, but the kids enjoyed it. However, dinner and the atmosphere were wonderful! It's pricey, but you knew that already. I wouldn't miss a trip to the Wharf if I were returning to GC!

The tarpon feeding was okay - nothing great. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it.
Note: Contrary to KNoel, I didn't think that the Wharf was a 'must do' restaurant and was disappointed with our meal and service. Okay - the view is great, but go to the bar for a drink, enjoy the view, and then go elsewhere to dinner. Much better meals to be had at the Crow's Nest and other less-touristy places. Enjoy!

I agree w/ the above post, the Wharf food was marginal at best and service was not very good either. (everything was plunked down at one time as they want to turn the tables over as much as possible. I did think the tarpon feeding was neat if you have kids. I'd skip the meal, (very overpriced) and go just for drinks,as they don't feed them until 9:00 p.m. I do give it an A+ for the view, however.

Hank,
My husband and I have been going to Grand Cayman since 1993 and we tried The Wharf twice - we would never go back. The service was horrible, the food was overpriced. The Tarpon feeding is fun to see and they do have a very nice bar right outside where you can watch the feeding. We usually go and just have a drink there - watch the feeding and then leave. Otherwise, I would avoid the place. There are many other restaurants that will treat you well and serve great food. For great Italian food and romantic atmosphere, I would recommend Villa Capri. It is located right across the street from the large Fosters shopping center in SMB. We usually go several times while on the island and have never been disappointed. Enjoy!

I would agree w/ most - it wasn't anything great - nothing really exciting about the tarpon feeding! The night my husband and I went there was a lady who got so drunk that she decided to crawl on the floor chasing her grandson! You should however try Pappagallo's, one of the best on the island!
