we're headed to Turks & Caicos in July.
we chose this island because of the incredible Grace Bay beach, relaxing atmosphere and upscale condo style resorts.

Wow! Happy sun, sand and sea to all of you.

cmcfong : I'm sure you didn't mind one bit to be dragged back to Bermuda by those two girls. ;-)

Renting a villa in Mustique in June. I haven't been to Mustique and never rented a villa, as we have always preferred resorts. Also have never flown on a small plane. I am getting excited about it but a little nervous about the plane!

My husband and I are leaving our son with his grandparents and heading to Staniel Cay in the Bahamas.. in 3 weeks! Yeah! I picked the location after reading 3 fantastic reviews on this board. I had my husband read them too and he agreed it would a great location for us. We picked it because it's laid-back, we can snorkel to our hearts content, flip-flops rule, the water is like pool water and as clear as can be and we might as well be the only people in the world on some of the beaches.

We're also going to Virgin Gorda in October (with our son). We're renting a villa for the very first time. I've read so many great things about doing that in VG, I thought we'd give it a try. The villa looks GREAT by the way. VG has been on the top of our list for a very long time. From all the reviews and pics I've seen, it just looks beautiful and we believe we'll just love the island.

Wishing everyone great travels!

caribtraveler - I'll be looking forward to your trip reports for SC & VG. SC is on our list somewhere in the future.

We will try to swing a trip to either Bonaire or TCI in Sept or Oct. Then it's off to our new dream home island of Grenada for the Christmas holidays.

Everyone, enjoy your trips! And be sure to post a report when you get back.

My wife and I and our 4 kids are making our annual trek back to Negril one month from today! We are staying for 10 days at CocoLaPalm, once again. This will be my 12th trip to Negril in 22 years and my wife's 7th. That will be it for the Caribbean in 2008, however, my son and I have another trip planned to the FL Gulf Keys in November. We went earlier this month and had a fantastic trip!

Our group of 5 is headed for Vieques and San Juan next month. We've never been but decided to try Vieques before the big AIs get there (and we're hoping to find some good snorkeling). We're flying from DFW to San Juan where we will transfer to a charter flight to Vieques. We've rented a house on the water in Bravos de Boston and will be there for 8 days. then we are flying back to San Juan for a quick 2 day look at old San Juan. Can't wait!

Nowhere #39;(

We've bought an old house that needs renovating, so we need to spend the time (and money) on her.

If I could go anywhere it would be Negril and I'd make sure that my stay overlapped with CS's so I could meet him and his family.

DH has a hankering for Nisbet Plantation again.

Alya, we are in your boat, too. BUT....

I've decided to redirect some of our spending to a much needed beach getaway. If I don't take care of us, how are we going to take care of our 101 yr old hacienda?? She is very good at draining my travel fund. Too good.

CaribbeanSoul, missed seeing you on the boards lately. Good to see you're headed back to Jamaica mon!

Alya: Awww....how sweet! It would seriously be fun to get together in Negril. Maybe someday....you never know! In Negril, anything is possible. Maybe we could organize a small GTG in Negril someday if there is any interest with fellow Fodorites.

BeachGirl: Good to hear from you too! I always enjoy your posts on the board. Walk good!

We were supposed to go to Grand Cayman last month for our last trip before baby arrives (I'm due this summer) but due to pregnancy complications, we had to cancel. Since we had already bought our tickets, though, we re-scheduled for December and will be taking our baby boy with us, who will be 4-5 months at the time. We chose it for the beaches, direct flying time from Boston, snorkeling, and restaurants.

Looks like we've moved down stream to Cat Island instead of Abaco or Eleuthera. Cat has been on my top 10 list for many years so we're so excited it's working out this time.

We spent a very relaxing week at Gallows Point on St. John. I would recommend that unequivocally. Now looking for anotherr Carib. destination for Jan.2009. Love the beaches, snorkeling and just doing nearly nothing! Recommendations for January?

Got back at midnight from 2 nights on Marina Cay and 7 nights on Anegada in the BVIs. And of course, am now planning the return trip for November. And I hit Tulum in January. I have to say, of 10 trips to the BVIs, this one has been the best. Hope to get to a trip report soon.

WE were in BVI for 2 weeks in January and Belize for 2 weeks in March. Loved both places and always stay in a private villa. Off to Negril in December and in January of 2009 Palm Island and Mistique than St John in March.
