If it helps, here is a blog written by someone who used to post here but still does on TA. There is info on local restaurants, as well as high end places. Oistins and St Lawrence/Gap has several local options.

I've not planned anything from this thread, yet, but just read about a new hotel opening in 22018 in Grenada that will have a 100'-long lap pool. I'd certainly like to swim in that. Looks like it will be on a great swimming beach, too: Probably hugely expensive:

Grenada is a beautiful island, it has everything; swimming beaches, mountains, rain forest, hiking trails, history, friendly people. St George is a nice town to walk around. Pity to build another hotel on gorgeous Grand Anse beach, there are several there already. Grand Anse is definitely a great swimming beach.

The Silver Sands has been under construction for quite a while now. I'll be glad when it is finished as the noise of construction ruins the tranquility of Grande Anse beach.
Yes it will be quite expensive. It will be more in line with the Spice Island Resort then with other places to stay in Grenada. We first went to Grenada in 2004 and loved it right away. We have been going every winter now since 2011. We have always stayed at the Blue Horizon Garden Resort. It is a short 5 minute walk from Grande Anse beach. Grenada is a wonderful safe island. We have traveled all over and never had any difficulties. There is the rain forest to explore, excursions to waterfalls, snorkelling to the underwater sculptures or just relaxing at the beach. Grand Anse, La Sagesse and Morne Rouge beaches are the most popular. |
You've really sparked my interest! I am in Florida in the winters now, and it would be so easy to fly there from Miami, I imagine, or even from Fort Lauderdale. The trouble in to convince the partner but I am going to do my best..
