Swept Away Negril, Sandals Negril or somewhere else?

Looking to go back to Jamaica April/May. We vacationed at Sandals Negril 4 years ago & enjoyed it quite abit. We like the all inclusive resorts. We find it less stressful because we don't have to worry about where to eat and my husband finds it very very stressful spending money. We're not conisours of fine dining and don't find the quality of food an issue at the Sandals resorts we have been to. Can't decide whether to go back to Sandals Negril or try another resort like Swept Away Negril or Breezes, etc. Another reason we like ai is that Sandals includes scuba which may places don't. Any suggestions or opinions?

Hi,

Swept Away is a wonderful choice. Everything is first class - food, service, unique accommodation. Also great beach.

We spent 8 days at SA in October and loved it. Quiet - but if you are looking for things to do it is there. No pressures. Fitness facility is fantastic - best in Caribbean. Gourmet restaurant across the street, Feathers, is terrific. Veggie bar during the day is alot of fun. Catamaran cruise is a must.

Scuba is also included in the AI - very nice divemasters - a very nice scuba boat.

Recommend this property.

I have read reviews recently stating that Sandals Negril's rooms have become run down and the beach is pretty much non-existent.
I personally would go with Couples Negril. It's on the best beach and better quality than SN.

good luck and enjoy!

How's the food at Couples Negril & Swept Away? Does anyone have experience with the Scuba & water skiing? Are they available everyday?

Hi there, my vote is also for Couples Negril, I was there a few months ago, and it is totally wonderful. The food is pretty good, the staff are excellent, and the grounds are unbelievable!!! I didn't do the waterskiing, but I did see it (I am not sure if it is included, but there was skiing). As for the scuba, I am not too sure on that either, but you should also try taking the Hobies out (they are alot of fun). If you have any other questions feel free to email me at [email protected]
Good luck, and enjoy your vacation

Scuba at Swept Away is included and great dive boat and divemasters. They will give you instruction in the pool and a beginner dive if you are not certified. If certified - have to fill out a short form for health etc.

Ski boat is also great - if you don't know how - they will teach you. Book the boat at the water sports shack and away you go.

Couples Negril is similar. Diving is included and ski boat is available.

Personally, I preferred the dive boat and ski experience at Swept Away.

Food at both is good. The gourmet restaurant at Swept Away, Feathers, is excellent. Recommend eating there as much as you can.
