Swept Away!!!
 

I wanted to ask if anyone has been to Swept Away recently? I will be headed there in August from the 4-10. I wanted to know about the fitness center and is it located across the main road, is it dangerous??? And any other info you can tell me about the resort!! Thank you!!

Just took your advice and looked at the Negril site. MUCH to my horror one of the locals on there mentions "Swept Away is doubling in size to the south." Some of the clearing work is in progress!! YIPES! I'm suppose to be getting married there on June 19th. Always wanted to be married in a hard hat to the sound of a backhoe!

Yeah--I think they started that construction in Dec. That has definitely deterred me from a return visit. <BR> <BR>Deb, you should call the resort directly (not the 800 number!) and get the scoop from the general manager before you change your plans.

Lara, thanks for the reply. I've emailed them but you never know what you'll hear from the PR people. Hopefully, the construction will be done by June and I'll have a beautiful new place to stay (I can dream). Otherwise, I'll pack my construction gear!
