SuperClubs Breezes, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic....Just Back!
Just thought I'd let you know that SuperClubs Breezes has taken over two resorts in Dominican Republic and I've just returned from the Punta Cana location. It's a great resort with loads of activity going on...flying circus trapeze, rock climbing wall, ice skating rink (artificial surface), beach volleyball, tennis, bocce ball court, sailboats (catamarans), ocean kayaks, boogie boards, banana boat rides, etc. It's had some recent renovations including 3 new hot tubs, swim up bar, new restaurants, a soon to open new gym, new lobby furniture, some general renovations. The one and only drawback is that the rooms are quite small and could definitely be "brightened up" a bit, however, they have over half with ocean view!!!! The view from our balcony was spectacular!! Food was good to very good. In a short time, with the continued work being done, this will be an even better resort. This resort is for a young, vibrant crowd, or families with active kids!!! Just thought I'd let you know!!

Seriously thinking about booking here. Been to Punta Cana once before and loved the weather, beaches and breeze. Hated the Presidente -- what does this "all-inclusive" drink package get you? How was the food? I am in my late 20s looking to go with a friend -- is it too family oriented?
Any advise would be great. Thank you, Kelly

The all inclusive gets you return flights, transportation to/from Punta Cana Airport to hotel, your accommodation, food, booze, drinks, activities (includes catamarans, kayaks, boogie boards, flying circus trapeze, tennis, rock climbing wall, etc., etc., etc.). The only things you have to pay for in addition is if you buy souvenirs, doing extra $$ stuff like parasailing/horseback riding, or need medical attention. I think you'd like it!!!!

Evidently me@phew seems to have nothing better do than add sarcastic comments on an chat about vacationing -- did somebosy say LOSER, oh wait, I just did.
On another note thank you for your imput. I read that there are theme nights? Is this true? If so what are they? I also do you recall what types of beer they had included? How was the food? And was there a nightlife inside the hotel?
I appreciate your advise.

Tina, we always bring our own snorkel equipment but I'm quite sure the resort had equipment you can use. On calm days, there is Ok snorkelling slightly to the right (near next resort) where there is a small patch of coral or you can take a two hour (about $17 to $20) trip (thru watersports centre) to better snorkelling about a half hour boat ride away. They have plenty of life jackets also.
Kelly, there are theme nights but we were there over Xmas/New Year's so there were so many special nights for that time of year that I don't know what the special theme nights are throughout the year. I believe they are "international" (different "international" food stations set up on grassy and cobblestone area outside main buffet), toga party (didn't have one while I was there), etc. Food was absolutely excellent!!! Beer was "El Presidente". Loads of nightlife....disco, nightly singers in lobby, all night beach snacks (beach restaurant or Mexican open all night)...make your own fun....we had a large group and held tournaments on the beach several nights....beach volleyball and bocce ball tournaments. One night it rained so we had a crib tournment in the lobby until the disco opened. This is a young and lively resort...no shortage of things to do!!

Laurinda - there are so many resorts in Punta Cana I suggest you check out www.debbiesdominicantravel.com and www.whre2stay.com for trip reports to all the different hotels.
I haven't been yet, but I will be in Punta Cana at the end of the month, staying at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace. I've seen mixed reports but my TA recommended it.
Have fun!

Would this resort be appropriate for children ages 7 and 11? I had the impression that SuperClubs were more of "singles" resort.....not true? I would like to hear more about the rooms that would accomodate 4. I have heard they were being renovated yet the poster says the rooms could use some brightening up.....comments, please. Also, what are the pools like? My children are fish. Are there food choices that children would like?

I am going to Breezes April 23rd and would like to know if there is a dress code for women as well as men for dinner at the restaurants? Any other suggestions on what I need to know are appreciated.
