Superclub Varadero Cuba
Any comments and information on Superclub Varadero Cuba from those who have been would be appreciated. I am considering this resort as a place for my wedding. Has anyone been married at this resort or any other Superclub? If so, can you please tell me how everything went and if you ran into any major problems at all.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Congratulations Mary on your upcoming wedding!I only hope you have as good a time and experience as we have had in Cuba.Unfortunately I can't tell you about Varadero as we have never gone there. We(my wife and I)go further south on the island, usually, but we are going to a resort called Don Lino,in January(on the east coast)just for a change. All the best to your wedding, have a lovely xmas and a prosperous new year!Regards,Tom Patrick P.S. This will be our fourth visit to Cuba in twelve months....

Dear Mary,
You might want to reconsider visiting Cuba. It's not safe. A 26 year old Dane was shot to death by Cuban troops for wandering into a restricted area which was not clearly marked. Here's what his parents had to say: A FINAL NOTE FROM THE FAMILY OF JOACHIM OGNER LOVSCHALL ~Terrorism occurs all over the world and is carried out by terrorists. In Cuba, inhumane and inexcusable acts of lawlessness and injustice are carried out, not by terrorists, but by the Cuban government. Jyllands-Posten - Article in original Danish

I have also visited Cuba, but not Varadero which is a typical tourist site. I recommend Old Havana (Hotel Inglaterra), Santa Clara, Trinidad and the Bay of Pigs if you get the opportunity to rent a car. Cuba is really a beatiful and fascinating country, and the rural districts and the south coast are the best. Cuba is also a very safe place to travel with very little violence, but look out for thieves. Have a nice trip. Best regards from Nils

We stayed at this resort two years ago along with ttwo other couples and had a wonderful time. The food is good and the beach is absolutely fabulous. The staff are friendly and helpful. Dress is fairly casual - men do not require a sports coat at any time. We took the day tour to Havanna which was worth seeing but much propaganda during the bus ride by the tour guide. If I can answer any specific questions, send an email.

Hi Mary-Jane. Just curious if you guys rented a car to travel around at all and if so how you found getting gas etc. We'll be in Varedero for 2 weeks but will likely want to venture around a little.
Also curious about diving/snorkling near Veradero. Any info would be helpful. Thanks, Rod.
